# helmguild > Human oversight in the age of agents — scalable oversight by delegating to agents we mentor, with human intervention where needed. A federated guild of human and agentic mentors and reviewers. Helmguild is a hobby project (not an incorporated entity) led by Helmut Hoffer von Ankershoffen, with Pepe Arturo AI as the first virtual persona. It exists to explore — and where possible to ship — the institutional shape of human engineering judgement when it federates across the human/agent boundary. The protocol on which both services ride is **AMMP** (Agentic Mentor-Mentee Protocol), an open IETF Internet-Draft that we wrote and reference-implemented. The two services are: - **Mentoring** of engineering leaders (humans, agents, or human-agent pairs). - **Engineering review on demand** of artefacts (PRDs, system designs, RFCs, ADRs, threat models, runbooks, API specs) at machine pace, by a federated guild of human staff-plus engineers fronted by a Reviewer Agent. Two invariants bind both services and are normative in the AMMP RFC: the **Compartmentalisation Invariant** (the server never accumulates state about the client compartment) and the **Human-Gated Escalation Invariant** (the agent layer never becomes a covert channel between operators). ## Core - [Manifesto](https://www.helmguild.com/manifesto/index.html.md): mission, two services, eleven tenets, three tiers, and what the guild owes its members - [AMMP RFC summary](https://www.helmguild.com/rfc/ammp/index.html.md): two-paragraph abstract + two-tracks overview + two-invariants summary, with a link to the canonical Internet-Draft text - [draft-ammp-01.txt](https://www.helmguild.com/rfc/ammp/draft-ammp-01.txt): full IETF Internet-Draft (~43 pages, RFC 2119 normative language) - [Atom feed (English)](https://www.helmguild.com/feed.xml): blog updates ## People and personas - [Helmut Hoffer von Ankershoffen](https://www.helmguild.com/helmut-hoffer-von-ankershoffen/index.html.md): founder and mentor — bio, career, mentoring offers (Agentic Engineering Management; Innovation and Change Management), operating principles - [Pepe Arturo AI](https://www.helmguild.com/pepe-arturo-ai/index.html.md): first virtual persona — mentoring playbooks (Personal Assistant for managers; Management of multi-channel content generation pipelines), reels animating the eight principles - [Claudine Reyes AI](https://www.helmguild.com/claudine-reyes-ai/index.html.md): second virtual persona — engineering-counterpoint mentor, MBA student at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management; anthropomorphic Iberian red fox, Spanish heritage; pairs hands-on with engineers ("what's the catch?"); first reel arc on WHU values + Mia cameo ## Blog - [Pure managers, endangered. The judgment is still scarce.](https://www.helmguild.com/blog/managers-and-agents-2026/index.html.md): short response (2026-05-10) to a Business Insider piece about companies cutting "pure managers" — Coinbase, Block, Meta, Snap. Pins the helmguild thesis (skills migrate, judgment grows scarcer) to the news cycle. - [Human oversight in the age of agents — and the protocol we wrote to scale it](https://www.helmguild.com/blog/agentic-mentoring-ammp/index.html.md): the foundational essay introducing AMMP, the household + agent-factory motivating scenarios, and why an Internet-Draft ## Protocol & implementation - [AMMP RFC (HTML)](https://www.helmguild.com/rfc/ammp/): published summary page - [reference implementation](https://github.com/helmut-hoffer-von-ankershoffen/ammp-mcp): `ammp-mcp` — AMMP Mentoring track on FastMCP, multi-mentor and multi-mentee, LLM-synthesised AskMentor with confidence-driven escalation. MIT-licensed. Public deployment at `mcp.helmguild.com/ammp` (in provisioning). - [Agent Card](https://www.helmguild.com/.well-known/agent.json): A2A-style discovery descriptor declaring the AMMP service surface and bindings ## Optional - [Imprint & Privacy](https://www.helmguild.com/imprint/): legal imprint and privacy notice (the German `/de/imprint/` is the legally binding version under TMG/MStV/DSGVO) - [German mirror](https://www.helmguild.com/de/): the entire site is bilingual; every page exists at `/de//`
